About Ornamental Things

When I’m selling my jewelry, people ask what inspires me. Honestly? Everything. It sounds like such a cliché but we can’t help but be inspired by the world around us whether it’s art, architecture, the scale at the supermarket or a classic piece of vintage jewelry.

Folks also ask where I get my materials and how the jewelry is made. My style of jewelry making can best be described as assemblage. I get an idea in my head of what I want to create and I find the things to make it. When I can’t find the parts, I draw them and have them made with fun techniques like CAD, 3D printing and casting. It’s an adventure.

What’s most important to me is making something that speaks to you and makes you feel like a boss.
