Ornamental Things has added a new charity to its list, Amend.org. I heard about them on the radio last week. They develop programs in Africa to educate children about roadside saftey. The reality is that children must get up very early to walk to school in the dark and many children get hit by cars, leaving the child disabled and the family with a catastrophic financial burden. Amend.org goes into schools to teach the children how to be safe and gives them reflector bands to wear. If you want to contribute or learn more, here is the website: http://www.amend.org/ My aunt and uncle have traveled to Africa as missionaries and their stories have really inspired me to help.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I went to my parents' house for the weekend. My sister was in from Colorado. I really enjoyed hanging out with my family, playing dominoes and seeing old friends. Oh yeah, and the eating - my mom makes the best dressing ever!
Stay warm everyone!
