Two New Stores!

I have some really wonderful news to share! Ornamental Things charms bracelets are now being carried in two more Austin stores. Here's the scoop:

Eliza Page in the fun 2nd Street shopping district downtown has picked up a couple of necklaces and quite a few charm bracelets. They are also selling the bracelets with a chain so that it can be transformed easily into a necklace. Genius! I am so honored to have my jewelry sold in this store as I often wander in to drool over the merchandise. I am always inspired by the lovely jewels I find there. If you haven't been down there yet, you gotta go! And, after you are finished looking at pretty jewelry, go across the street and have a cheeseburger at Jo's! They make the best burgers and french fries in the city. For more information about Eliza Page, visit www.elizapage.com.

The Blanton Museum store has also picked up the Ornamental Things line! They are carrying most of my earring designs and a few charm bracelets as well. Right now the museum store is a kiosk with the store set to open in January 2008. Having my jewerly in the Blanton store is especially close to my heart because, as you may know, I am a graduate from the University of Texas Art History department. When I was in school, the Blanton was a tiny little space in the art building and as students we were always aware of the large amount of art that was owned by UT but had to be rotated in the tiny space available. We all looked forward to the day there would be a museum large enough to hold the collections. So, needless to day, I feel really connected to the Blanton Museum and I am super excited to have my art sold in its store. For more information about the museum visit www.blantonmuseum.org.

I have also been doing quite a few private trunk shows and meeting lots of fun new people. At one show I was lucky enough to set up next to Kathie Sever of Ramonsterwear. She makes old school western themed clothing for men, women and children. Her stuff is so cool! Check it at at www.ramonsterwear.com. Plus, Kathie is just a super cool person!

Hey, if you are interested in hosting a trunk show in your home, please email me! There are great incentives for the hostess!

Lately I have had a fascination with coins. As you can see there are a bunch of new designs featuring coins. Some of the coins are as old as 1848. The have such beautiful intricate designs. I love how art and design find their ways into every little facet of our lives.
